| Pastoral Care from the kitchen |
Trinity's Pastoral Care Committee does
formally what all of us attempt to do every day, minister to those who
are in need. Cooking teams provide meals for families or individuals
where surgery, illness, death, a new baby or another of life’s
events has caused extra chaos. Cards are sent out to members with special
needs. Some committee members visit the sick and homebound, even taking
goody bags with them at Christmas. Other programs include “Adopt-a-Student” communication
and caring for young members who are away at college, taping of the
10:30AM service for homebound parishioners, and offering transportation to
and from church for those without. This committee works closely with
the Rector and Deacon and depends on being informed of special needs in
the congregation.
