The Altar Guild, divided into small groups who rotate on a monthly basis, takes care of the church altar, including the wine and bread for Eucharist, serving vessels, candelabras, candles, vases, and linens, which are all important parts of our services. A recent addition to our parish, the Flower Guild was formed by a group of parishioners in response to the rising cost of purchasing flowers. As in past years, parishioners who desire to donate memorial or honorary greenery or flowers for worship may still purchase those arrangements from a florist, and may be billed by the church or by the florist directly. Arrangements of greenery or flowers for the altar are also available from the Flower Guild for a reduced price of $35 each Sunday. Flower donors need to notify the church office of the option they choose and make payment prior to the selected Sunday. During the year there are training sessions for new members of the
Altar Guild and the Flower Guild. Current members are always ready
to welcome new folks to the fold. Both of these groups provide a way
for parishioners to serve, to learn more about the Episcopal tradition,
and to gain friends within the church family. |
