Dear Friends,
By the grace of God, Trinity Episcopal Church
celebrates with gratitude 150 years of Episcopal presence in Statesville,
North Carolina. 2008
also marks both forty years in our current facility and forty years
since Trinity and Church of the Holy Cross united as one congregation.
Throughout 2008 we remember how we have been brought
to this day and give thanks for God’s work in and through
those who have worshiped at Trinity Episcopal Church. We
warmly invite you to join us anytime in 2008, but to know particularly
of the dates listed below.
In Christ,
Brad Mullis, Rector
Saturday and Sunday April 5 and 6
An Appalachian Spring—Celebrating Families
A Little Windows Weekend
with Julee Glaub and Mark Weems
Musical guests Little Windows will enhance our
old time celebration of family and community as we gather on this
weekend to simply enjoy being together. Saturdy morning the choir will
host a “Rise Up Singing Party” with breakfast for those
who wish to join them in singing and harmonizing purely for fun. The
children will have a “Play Party” on Saturday afternoon
where they will learn traditional song, dance and games as well as
having some hands on experience with traditional musical instruments. Sunday
April 6 features a concert at 4 and an old fashioned “Daniel
Boone” style dinner. On Sunday morning Julee
Glaub and Mark Weems will join us for worship.
Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18

with details. The invitation is “open” to all who
have worshipped in this place over the years. Please call the
church to provide addresses and contacts for the invitation list.
